Take the new game, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, for a great example of killer graphics and an all around sweet game. This game brought on a whole new level of intensity, bringing gamers to complete immersion.
Modern Warfare raised the bar on this genre of first-person shooter games. The game begins with a brief tutorial to teach the player about the game controls and then leads on to a testing area designed to give the player an idea of what level of difficulty he should play at.
As with all games released one of the most important answers gamers want to know is how long the game is expected to last. Or rather, how far is their money going to go, and is it worth it.
Gamers rest assured that Modern Warfare is sure to give you your monies worth of entertainment and action. It is recommended that players choose a difficulty level that is challenging for them.
This will make a big difference. Setting the difficulty level too low would still give you hours of intense game play.
However, setting the difficulty on a level that proves to be a bit more challenging will add hours of extreme game play. In the end, this is an intense game no matter what level you play on.
Infinity Ward broke the usual approach of following around a character through their WWII champagne and blew gamers away with new gripping stories lines that seems as though they are straight from the headlines of the time. It offers plenty of plot-driven sequences from an intense and captivating first-person perspective.
If there has been any complaint at all to Modern Warfare, it would be that the player cannot give his teammates commands. Although this can at first seem like a drawback to the game, there is plenty of action packed activity to keep the player plenty busy.
Also, in this game, many players were pleasantly surprised to find that the player's teammates can actually hold their own; giving the game a more life-like feel. Many players have noted that one best parts of the game it the attachment that is developed to the soldiers fighting alongside you.
Gone are the days of random players running around you; in Modern Warfare, you watch the backs of your soldiers and they watch yours.
The players around you are good. They may even be able to help you find the enemy when you have no idea where they are. They may even save your life.
For example, one gamer noted of his pleasant shock and surprise as he was surrounded in enemy fire just barely able to hold his own when he heard the sound of a grenade hit the ground beside him, thinking he was a goner, a soldier came out of his cover and picked up the grenade and threw it up into the air where it exploded.
If you have not gotten your hands on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, you have got to go out and get it now. And make sure to catch the amazing life-like graphics on an HDTV.
